I understand your meaning, Nngrm, but I've spent the better part of an hour at this point poking at this, trying to draw its shape. I know what it's going to be, but there's not a logical or intuitive way to solve this. The left side is very pretty, but the right side is not solvable. Sorry.
You need to mirror up the edge of the circle on the right side to match the left. Same with the eye. That's all that's inside the circle. The 7 rays mentioned are more like a lion's mane.
Oh, the "rays" are more like... "licks of fire" they look more like petals, for those you don't want to click the link to the solution; Also, thank you very much, Nngrm for sharing the solution. The image is lovely, as I suspected it would be. The second half does not disappoint the imagery set up by the first. If someone works out a way to make a solvable version of this, I would love to see it.
