Nope it cant. Using symmetry and guesswork its easy enough. but not what you want from a hanjie.

Made it at my 2nd try. I guessed a lot at first, and it worked!

Multiple possible solutions. Great concept for a puzzle; however, single square diagonal lines make it difficult to solve. Assuming symmetry helps.

Solved it on my first try. But definitely not boxes. I see DIAMONDS.
