I found a free pattern for a scarf and made one for myself and sister in law last year... this year when I went to get the pattern again off ravelry, because I no longer have my hard copy, it is no longer free. And cost $5. I understand that designers would like to make money for their hard work and all that but I don't want to pay $5 for a pattern that is literally 2 rows long repeated until you reach your desired length. Is that cheap of me? Or are pattern prices a bit ridiculous? I would gladly pay $2.50 for it sure but not $5. There are free variations of the scarf but none that are so close I'd be happy with them. Off to study my scarf to make up my own pattern for it.
