I'm really enjoying this luchadore mask series! My family used to watch lucha libre even though we didn't speak Spanish, we didn't have cable and sometimes it was the best show on. Just wish we could have understood it better. We did at least get a sense of how much those costumed heroes mean to the people of their cities. You couldn't help but appreciate the love and joy.
I'm happy to hear you have such wonderful memories of lucha libre with your family. I loved watching it when I was young, and I went to a few Texas events in the mid 70s. It was so much fun, so much excitement! I'll try to keep the series going, but it's difficult without all the fantastic colors for the masks. I'll try to get las luchadoras (women wrestlers) in here too.
