No guessing if you use symmetry.

Using symmetry IS guesswork! kind of misses the point of logical deduction, but makes pretty patterns...

A little guesswork isn't too bad on a 10x10 puzzle.

There isn't any guessing or symmetry needed in order to solve it. There is a little trick to find.
Thanks Mica0609 for trying a little more and finding out the solution. :)

I don't understand how anyone needed guesswork, a trick isn't even needed either, just a normal hanjie....

Agreed, no guess work (including no symmetry) needed.
Just use the crosses (rightclick),too and you'll easily solve it.

Well, I mean it is a 10x10, so maybe more for beginners than for experts, so if they don't know some of the usual tricks to solve a hanjie, they did not succeed in completing this one.
    (My supposition)

Indeed no guessing if you start with the 1-4-1 sequences, as you will find "Must Be" squares, from where it's all gravy ... nicely done!!!

Bummer! I always thought I was really good at hanjie, but I can't figure out how to do it without guesswork/symmetry. Maybe I don't know all the tricks, after all. I got to the "must be" squares with the 1-4-1 sequences, but I couldn't find where to go logically from there. I couldn't figure out where to put any x's. Can somebody help me figure out what I'm missing?

Nice hanjie - no guesswork. I think people must be over-thinking this.
