Well, it's logical on the plus side, but the rating sure is completly off. More like one star instead of four.

The difficulty is determined by the amount of black squares. The more blacks, the easier the difficulty. I dont know the exact algorithm or all other factors that weigh in (although size of the puzzle is one for sure) but because of this the difficulty rating can't always be trusted.
