While we're at it, pattern and perfectly symmetrical hanjie's are boring too.

But surely, if everyone in the world liked the same things, life would be so boring!
I think all sports are really boring:
F1 - cars driving in a circle
Football - running around on a lawn
Golf - waving a stick in a field .............
You get my drift - but I bet lots of Hanjie players love watching or playing these - each to their own :-)

I like variety. If I get bored with a series I skip those puzzles, and perhaps go back to them later. There are so many different authors with different styles on this site that everyone should find a hanjie they enjoy.

I agree that texts and patterns are usually boring.
