Don't know the band or the cover, but it made for a nice puzzle.
If you're up to it, I always loved the dragons around guitar image used in Blind Guardians covers for "Imaginations from the Other Side" as well as the single "A Past and Future Secret". Tried it myself and couldn't make it recognisable, but it really is a nice picture.

In the same vein, what about Daughters' "You Won't Get What You Want?" It's even already black and white!
